Our Village

St Mary’s Church marks the centre of Dallinghoo. Adjacent to this is the village Hall regularly used by the local organisations. A defibrillator is housed just outside in the telephone box.

The area is characterised by mainly arable farming with pockets of woodland in a gently undulating landscape. Most of the farmland is used for arable crops with 3 farms specialising in beef, sheep and pigs

The area is intersected by many footpaths and country lanes and a map is available to view on this web site.

There are 80 houses which range from a small thatched cottage built in 1541 to a modern Eco Barn recently built and featured on TV programme Grand Designs. Population is currently about 170.
